OUR NEW PATIENT PROCESS
- FIRST CONTACT
When you first contact our office, you will normally be greeted by our business assistant, Jeanette Rucker. She will collect necessary background information, answer any further questions you have about the office and schedule your first appointment. She will send you an information packet with office information and a blank health history form. Please fill out the health history and bring it to your appointment to help streamline your visit. You may also download it from the FORMS page of this website. If you are covered by dental insurance, it will be helpful for you to bring all the information with you as well.
- THE NEW PATIENT VISIT
During your first visit a thorough examination is performed. This includes discussing the health history form, appropriate x-rays, head & neck exam, oral cancer screening, charting of existing fillings, missing teeth, treatment needed, gum health, and intraoral camera tour. We often are able to perform a dental cleaning at your first appointment as well. Including the dental cleaning, please allow about two hours for this visit.
- THE CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT
If more dental treatment is necessary we will arrange a no-charge consultation appointment to discuss findings and recommend one or more treatment plans to fit your comfort level, appearance, and budget. We will present estimated fees, and you will be able to choose a method of payment comfortable for you.
- CONTINUING CARE
Once treatment is complete we will tailor a preventive care schedule to your needs. These regular follow-up appointments are essential to foster the preventive concepts we will discuss during your visits with us.
Please download and complete our Patient Forms prior to your first appointment.
